Model TS Trim Winder
The model TS Trim Winder is a versatile trim winder capable of handling many sizes and types of trim material. It is a fully traversing winder with adjustable traverse speed and traverse end points.
Completed rolls of trim material can be quickly removed from the winder. This is accomplished through the use of a quick release flange mechanism as well as an expandable air mandrel.
Closed loop tension control is accomplished through use of a constant force dancer, with position feedback. This feedback is measured through a 60-degree potentiometer. (Non-contact position feedback can be provided as an option through the use of an analog proximity sensor.) This arrangement also maintains consistent tension throughout the changing roll diameter. The tension of the trim as it is wound is set by changing the position of the adjustable counter-weight along the dancer arm.
